The Learning Center

The Learning Center (TLC) is a teen parent cooperative preschool and infant daycare that exists to ensure that local teen parent children, as well as other community children,  are ready to enter Kindergarten on-level. TLC centers serve Reedley and Dinuba.

TLC is a part of CYM's Fresh Start Programs, which include the Fresh Start Cafe.  Teen parents working at the cafe receive free childcare at TLC in exchange for working at the daycare a few hours a week.  This allows parents to strengthen their parenting skills. 

The priority is for children of teen parents, however there are slots available for paying parents.  If you are interested in placing your child in a safe, educational environment, call Criselda Padron, the TLC Director at 559.638.1153.  We accept children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.

Children of teen parents are 50% more likely to repeat a grade, are less likely to graduate high school, and score lower on standardized tests.

TLC is working to

make sure these children do not become a statistic by ensuring the best possible learning environment for these amazing kids.
